Full blood registered ewes were purchased from Kaya White Dorper Stud in October 2008, including six Type 5 ewes and forty one stud ewes. In March 2009, another eight stud ewes were purchased from Tattykeel White Dorper Stud.

In September 2010, with the help of Rodney Rayner (South African sheep classer and judge) 31 SIL Type 4 & 5 ewes were purchased from Jilakin Downs. Oct 2011 six Type 4&5 from Red Rock and 3 Type 5 from Redcliffe.

Full Blood registered Rams were obtained at Dubbo National Sale in 2008 from Tattykeel, Etiwanda, Kasteel and Matchless studs, and then again in 2009 from Gap Genetics and Highveld studs, Rodney Rayner was also able to help with our selection at the 2010 White Dorper classic at Keith , when we were fortunate enough to purchase top priced Castlereagh 205, a Type 5 ram from the Red Rock stud.

We also purchased Edson Livestock's top price ram 1633 that was also a Type 5 ram with lots of length and muscle.
At the September 2011 National Dorper & White Dorper Sale the purchase of Matchless E083 a Full shedding magnificently muscled Type 5 Ram and recently Highveld W1124, the 2011 Sydney Royal Grand Champion Ram a Full Shedding and most extreme muscled Ram.

Recent purchases of a ram and mated ewes from Terraweena further increases our genetic pool.

MELASHDAN is striving to improve Fertility, Shedding and Meat.

These rams will produce very good stock and demonstrate our commitment to the future.
